Vector Artwork

• Your artwork should be in vector format whenever possible
• Convert all text/type to outlines

Acceptable Files Types for Printing

• Illustrator CS
• Photoshop CS (see notes below)

Unacceptable File Types for Printing

• Jpgs are not acceptable for printing
• Gifs are not acceptable for printing
• Jpgs or Gifs placed inside Illustrator are not acceptable for printing
• MS Word documents are not acceptable for printing
• Web Logos/Graphics are not acceptable for printing

Photoshop CS files are only acceptable under certain circumstances

• Files should be created at 300 dpi
• Artwork must be created at final imprint size
• Keep all layers in tact (do not flatten layers) whenever possible

Photoshop DON’TS

• DO NOT create your artwork at 72 dpi
• DO NOT resample a 72 dpi image to 300 dpi
• DO NOT create your artwork 3" wide if it will be printing at 10" Wide.
• Create it at the size of the final output.
